How To Grind A Stump

Steps To Grinding A Stump

Before ever putting the grinder to work, you must prepare the site ahead of time. Follow the steps below to properly grind a stump.

Step 1. Prepare The Area

• Remove rocks or debris that may be surrounding the stump.
• Once the area is clear, cut your stump as close to the ground as you can with a chainsaw.
• Block off the area to keep any people or pets safe.

Step 2. Get Stump Grinder Into Position

• You must place your grinder in the proper position before working.
• Make sure the angle you choose is comfortable for you.
• When grinding, it’s common to change the angle and height several times.
• When adjusting positions, make sure the equipment is in the OFF position.
